Eco RFID Sustainable Tags

Traditional RFID tags are typically composed of aluminum (AL) etched antennas on PET substrates, most of which are single-use and contribute to environmental pollution. PET, a type of plastic, takes hundreds of years to degrade naturally, posing a significant threat to the environment. In 2019 alone, global usage of RFID labels reached approximately 15 billion units, leading to considerable environmental damage. As public awareness of sustainability grows and governments enforce stricter environmental regulations, the demand for eco-friendly RFID tags has increased among brands looking to reduce their plastic footprint.
